count the hell down!
To make me sound LESS like a loser, let me do it by greeting you with "Happy New Year!" :P
Did I count down? HELL NO! I haven't done it for so many years. I feel that it's a meaningless ceremony in which people PRETEND to be happy. I feel that people do it because of the fact that everyone else is doing it; if one doesn't follow suit, he/she would be considered a loner, an "out" person. At least I know it's true to a larger extent in the HK scene.
Honestly, I feel that January 1 is just another day. Those sayings like "It's a new start" and "Let's make a new year resolution" mean so little to me. If you want a new start, you can initiate one any time you want, as long as you are persistent enough. Why January 1?
Nonsense!!! (I hate this world!!!)
A friend just MSN'd me asking if I counted down. Then she added that she had gone to a bar for the count-down and it was very noisy.
Well, maybe pick another location next time ... :P
