Maybe all employers are UNethical to a certain extent!
I've just found out something unethical (unethical in my book!) that my boss did in the past couple of weeks. August has been a busy month for all kinds of schools, public and private, primary to tertiary. I understand the competition in this "business" (I'm VERY hesitant to claim education as a business, but it's the situation in HK, and it's a GOOD business!). But if the school boss grabs students to an education convention to help out the promotion (the battleground for all private schools in August) while the students are SUPPOSED TO BE IN CLASS, then it's a HUGE problem to me, as a teacher.
Maybe the fact that I don't have my own family facilitates my bad-@$$ attitude. Since that incident, I've been thinking "DAMMIT! Let me quit this job just to let out my anger against the reality." But then, wait. What else am I going to do for my living? (Oh! How sad it is to work for survival ...)
