Things seem to have changed so dramatically in the past 2 weeks. First, there was the mic incident that i blogged a week ago. Then, there is THIS.
I was in the midst of a break. A no-name joe came in and asked me to meet with the boss. I said i was in the middle of a class. He said, "Oh! But she wants to see you."
OK! Whatever!
My boss and i sat down, all calm. She took out a GRADED exam paper. Yes, it had been graded by me. Yes, it was a FAILED paper. And yes, i recognized the student's name on the paper. That was the student who emailed me and complained "why did i fail this easy subject?" And, finally, yes, without my boss saying a word, i knew the student's complaint had reached the ears of my dear boss.
老細:「阿 sir，點解呢個學生答得咁詳細，但你俾得咁低分?」
Sir (裝作有禮地，抑壓著心中的xyz):「xx，請問學校有無搵人 check 卷? 呢次已經係我第四次 review 呢份卷，之前三次我都同同事講，維持原判! xx，如果詳細睇下份卷既答案，你就知點解答左都無分! 因為呢位同學答非所問! 舉例，我問 disadvantage，佢答 advantage，請問點俾到分佢?」
老細 (扮晒誠懇地):「明白! 其實今次係好例外，個學生喊晒口同我地投訴，話無理由唔及格，所以我地先搵你 review 咁多次! 一係咁啦，阿 sir，你嚮份考試卷度加簽，等學生知道我地係認真對待分數，免得佢 fail 得唔眼閉!」
Sir:「加簽無問題! 我個問題係，若果一班40個學生，有一半作出同樣投訴，係咪代表作為老師既我，要 review 二十份卷4次? 我認為呢個做法對老師太唔公平! 亦太唔 efficient!」
老細:「阿sir，我地知道我地有學生嚮網上寫關於我地學校既野，我地見呢位學生咁激，所以先叫你 review 咁多次! 今次只係例外!」
Sir:「xx，你咁講我咁聽囉，不過我個問題你依然無回答! 坦白講，學校既行政，我作為老師唔會過問，剛才我只係講出我既意見! 我既立場係，學校唔應該對學生過份友善，fail 左投訴就要老師們 review 考試卷，久而久之，佢地每次 fail 都會投訴。況且，以我所知，學生 review 考卷係要俾錢學校，最終分數有改動先至會退款! 既然有咁既機制，點解仲有呢個例外? Hmmm ... 唔好意思，我班學生已經放完 break，係時候上堂!」
老細:「...... !」
Businesspeople running an education institute ... you see the situation. Marketing says it's customer-orientation. Yes, students are customers to these business-education-people! So sad! Hopeless education in HK ... sighhhhhh!

今日買左廁紙 ... 平時用開果隻無貨，所以試下同胞既產品 ... 潔柔嚮香港算非常出名 ...
赫然發現包裝上有 d 非常科學既單位 (mN ... 應該係 Physics 堂教過) ... 可能我少見多怪，我不嬲都唔知廁紙包裝上有呢類數據，失覺晒!
另外，除左書有 international edition 之外，原來 ... 廁紙都有架!!!

teaching Economics = crap (mad contents)
Man, i've gotta complain this time, or i'll explode!
I'm teaching an Economics class every Thursday night. A record high of 45 students registered for the course; therefore, even the loud me needs to use a mic.
Last Thursday, i complained to the boss about the malfunctioning mic. The boss, as a businesswoman, politely agreed to have someone to take a look into the problem. "Oh! Sorry! This is a very serious problem considering you are having 45 students," she said sincerely.
So a week has gone. Tonight the mic STILL had problems - even worst than last week - it would go mute at one time while super loud at another, with echo (the hell!). I was quite furious in class since i'd been hindered by this problem during the day class as well, so i ceased the class and went ask the reception what the f was going on with the mic. You know what ... there was NO ONE AT THE RECEPTION DESK. And i could do nothing but continued the class YELLING WITHOUT a mic while being faced with 45 students. Mind you ... they were not exactly the quiet type ...
I'm pretty sure i'll blow up the whole freaking school tomorrow by scolding whoever who agreed to take a "careful look into the mic problem." Be it the receptionist or the boss. I'm losing my job for that ... yeah! So what! I'm a stubborn mid-aged. If i keep working at such an educational insitute (so-called), hurting my voice while teaching without a mic, getting no respect whatsoever, i'd rather quit this one and get a $7,000 job with respect.
So much about offering Economics and Management courses in school ... my @$$!
F all businessmen who run educational institutes! Their homes deserve to be earthquaked!!!

DONE DEAL!
Yes, i finally paid the first deposit tonight. Things went smoothly. The young, pretty chick ex-owner agreed to hand over the apartment to me a little earlier for repair purpose. Nice chick!
Until her mom came, that is ......
Her mom overthrew what her daughter had said, which means i'll be forced to find a place to settle my furniture here in my current apartment. Darn troublesome mom!
Anyway, the deal is done. At least i have a place to live on my own.

After a 1-month search of apartment, finally tonite i had an oral agreement with the prop agent on an apartment deal. The first deposit will be paid tomorrow nite. Hopefully nothing crappy will happen between tonite and tomorrow nite ......

唔做戲真浪費!!!
熟我既貧友都知我頂唔順小貧友，呢個亦都係我搬離屋企自己住既原因之一。自從阿媽三年幾前應承我細佬湊佢個仔之後，我就一直搵樓搬! (當然，我現已搬走左近兩年)
以前一星期對住個姪五甚至六日，好難頂，想做下野都俾佢嘈親；而家就一星期食兩三次飯，好得多!
星期日晚佢無端端返左黎 (平時呢隻怪獸係 weekday 先出現)，於是我 suggest 出街食飯，費事阿媽又要湊孫又要煮飯。結果去左太子鳳城，d 野幾好味，值得推介。我帶埋部相機睇下有無野影，點知酒樓好黑，又無乜裝修 (實力派酒樓，無裝修，只靠食物質素)，所以只影人 (影人要用 ISO 1600，因室內太暗)。
以下係用相機捕捉隻怪獸既幾個表情，呢隻野唔做戲真係浪費 (我相信好多細路都係咁，表情多多!)
唔洗勸我，可見將來內我都會有細路-phobia.
